| Rotary Island has got to be my favorite stretch of the river in Yardley.
I fished it all summer with fantastic results. Fishing closer to the bridge never proved to be too great, but the actual island is fantastic. I wade it. It's only 3 1/2 in the deepest spots, unless otherwise effected by rain. I suggest hitting the banks here fellas, unless its hot.
When it is hot, I suggest fishing the deepest spots, as the fish wont be in the hot shallows. As any Delaware fishermen knows, the Yamamoto Senko is deadly, and this island is no exception. Throw a weightless (texas rigged) senko in a dark color and then let the current take it.
I dont know what it is about this island, but its a smallie factory. Good luck, tight lines, and I hope to see ya out there.
